Summary: A specimen of a non-load bearing bricks wall partition system, has been subjected to a test in accordance with BS 476:Part 22:1987, Clause 5 to determine it's fire resistance performance.
The non-load bearing brick wall partition consisted of unbaked clay bricks, each of size 216mm(L) x 102mm (W) x 64mm (T), The bricks were bonded together by cement and sand mortar of 1:3 ratio. Both sides of the bricks wall partition were plastered to an average thickness of 10.0mm.
The bricks were claimed to be made from a composition of clay/sand, cement and quarry dust (mix proportion in percentage by weight of 90 : 7 : 3 ) and density was found to be 1910km/m3.
The bricks in 2 pallets (1299 pieces) were sampled by En. Azalan Adnan of Unit Persijilan Barang, SIRIM QAS Sdn. Bhd. And request for test was made through Form PPDI - ref. PS032801.
